Raytown students selected to All-District Choir

Several Raytown High and Raytown South High vocal music students were selected to the All-District Choir. Those selected auditioned for these ensembles in October and will participate in the Kansas City Metro Honor Choir Festival on Saturday, January 21st at Staley High School.

Raytown High students selected to the All-District Choir were Kevin Johnson and Caleb McCarroll. Grace Givens was selected to the All-District Women’s Choir

"I am very proud of these students,” Raytown High Choir Director Alex Kolster said. “Making a District-level choir is not an easy task, and they would not have been selected if it wasn't for their diligent preparation for auditions.” 

Eight Raytown High students selected for the Freshman-Sophomore District Honor
 Choir were Kyle Baker, David Beam, Carlyn Carpenter, Amber Johnson, Marissa Jones, Jack McClung, Olivia Villa, and Justin Wood.

Raytown South High students selected to the All-District Choir were Christopher Gilbert and Megyn Payne.
Mason Coldsnow was selected for the All-District Men's Choir.

"I am very proud of the South high students and their motivation and levels of achievement," Raytown South High Choir Director Gretchen Kemp said.

Eight Raytown South High students selected for the Freshman-Sophomore District Honor
Choir were Levi Barkley, Trenton Chavez, Andre Hishaw, Yasmin Johnson, Dominick Lytton, Jachelle Powell, Bailey Sims, and Ta'Myia Warfield.
