Recently band, choir, and orchestra students from Raytown High School and Raytown South High School participated in District Music Contest. Students who earned an exemplary (I) rating will represent Raytown South at the State Music Contest in April.

Raytown High School Band students who earned an exemplary (I) rating include Troy Oberholtz, tuba solo; Logan Oehring, trumpet solo; Jordan Patrick, snare drum solo; Abby Plank, clarinet solo; Emma Schoolcraft, flute solo; David Sevart, French horn solo; Zach Strader, marimba solo; Elliot Clemons, Cameron Geeding, Kevin Johnson, Lindsey Mahan, and Infinatasia Moore, saxophone quintet; and Spencer Beaman, Earl Bradshaw, Evalynn Lomax, Caleb Nading, Jordan Patrick, and Zach Strader, percussion ensemble.

Raytown High School Band students who earned an outstanding (II) rating include Spencer Beaman, marimba solo; Earl Bradshaw, snare drum solo; Alexis Ferrara, French horn; Kevin Johnson, alto saxophone solo; Paul Lawless, clarinet solo; Evalynn Lomax, snare drum solo; Infinatasia Moore, tenor saxophone solo; Drake Ross, oboe solo; Justin Wood, marimba solo; Nick Dicapo, Troy Oberholtz, Logan Oehring, and David Sevart, Brass Quartet; and Rachel Phelps, Shelby Rank, and Emma Schoolcraft, flute trio. The Director of Bands at Raytown High School is Joseph Hill.  

Raytown High School Choir students who received an exemplary (I) rating for their vocal music solos include Jordan Atkins, Madilyn Baker, Saul Jimenez, and Caleb McCarroll. Small ensembles who received an exemplary (I) rating include Camerata Miscellaneous Men's Ensemble of Jordan Atkins, Spencer Beaman, Jacob Beardmore, Saul Jimenez, Kevin Johnson, Caleb McCarroll, and Tim Sadler; Camerata Double-Mixed Quartet of Emma Drace, Grace Givens, Kevin Johnson, Jordan Meyer, Caleb McCarroll, Iliana Miller, Katie Nguyen, and Tim Sadler;  Camerata Women's Trio of Sydni Embry, Victoria Goudeau, and Raynesha Green; and Concert Choir Miscellaneous Women's Ensemble of Asha Berry, Callista Kremer, Miranda Erickson, Elana Harris, Cortnee Nichols, Tuesday Scanlon, DeAngela Warren, and Amya Mitchell-Woods.

Raytown High School Choir students who received an outstanding (II) rating for their vocal music solo include Jordyn Alvis, Raymond Bauer, Jacob Beardmore, Carlyn Carpenter, Kaleb Clemmons, Emma Drace, Grace Givens, Emma Hill, Dakota Humphress, Marissa Jones, Jack McClung, Katie Nguyen, Jenna Poynter, Courtney Reeves, Hope Romero, Tuesday Scanlon, Olivia Villa, and Justin Wood. Small ensembles that received an outstanding (II) rating include Camerata Women's Sextet of Madilyn Baker, Emma Drace, Grace Givens, Iliana Miller, Skylar Moore, and Katie Nguyen; Camerata Miscellaneous Mixed Ensemble of Madilyn Baker, Spencer Beaman, Jacob Beardmore, Sydni Embry, Victoria Goudeau, Raynesha Green, Saul Jimenez, and Skylar Moore; Concert Choir Miscellaneous Men's Ensemble of Kyle Baker, Raymond Bauer, Kaleb Clemmons, Dakota Humphress, Atsuki Ito, Jack McClung, Chayton Shipley, and Justin Wood; Concert Choir Miscellaneous Women's Ensemble of Jordyn Alvis, Carlyn Carpenter, Carly Cobden, Mary Donnici, Gabby Goerler, Emma Hill, Jenna Poynter, and Nibia Ulloa. The Director of the Vocal Music program at Raytown High School is Alex Kolster

Raytown High School Orchestra students who received an outstanding (II) rating at district music contest on their solos and ensembles include Tariah Baker, piano solo; Octavia Copes, cello solo; Elana Erickson, viola solo; Darra Harper, viola solo; Anna Ryan, viola solo; and Anna Ryan, Octavia Copes, and Raymond Bauer; string trio. The Raytown High School Orchestra is under the direction of Amy Sadler. 

Raytown South Band students who earned an exemplary (I) rating include Quinten Becker, trumpet solo; Dawson Campbell, tenor saxophone solo; Paige Teeman, French horn solo; and Brianna Dupree, Jade Echeverry, Michaela Prosser, and Kerryaunna Ross, clarinet quartet.

Raytown South Band students who earned an outstanding (II) rating include Grace Allen, trumpet solo; Kiance Brock, tenor saxophone solo; Christian Caldwell, tuba solo; Sean Collins, bassoon solo; Sarah Conner, flute solo; Chris Gilbert, trombone solo; Angel Gray, baritone saxophone solo; Abel Monarrez, trombone solo; Federico Monarrez, flute solo; Chance Moore, piano solo; Kerryaunna Ross, clarinet solo; Grayson Sipes, snare drum solo; Brad Snyder, marimba solo; and Sean Collins, Sarah Conner, Angel Gray, Breona Shackelford, and Paige Teeman, woodwind quintet. The Director of Bands at Raytown South is Brandon Hord.

Raytown South Choir students who received an outstanding (II) rating for a vocal music solo include Machaela Clark, Brandon Guzman, Domonique Jackson, Juvi Luna, and Bailey Sims. The vocal music quartet of Levi Barkley, Chris Gilbert, Nathan Krogh, and Juvi Luna also received an outstanding (II) rating. The Director of Choirs at Raytown South is Gretchen Kemp.

Raytown South Orchestra students who earned an exemplary (I) rating include Henry Franklin, cello solo; Abby Bishop and Henry Franklin, violin and cello duet; and Bradley Snyder and Elizabeth Torres, violin and cello duet.

Raytown South Orchestra students who earned an outstanding (II) rating include Lauren Brackeen, violin solo; Teonna Butler, viola solo; Hanna Koger, viola solo; M'Sharra Peters, violin solo; Emely Rodriguez, violin solo; and Bradley Snyder, cello solo. The Raytown South Orchestra is under the direction of Suzannah Smith.
